Daily Bread ensures that no one in Brevard County faces hunger or homelessness alone. We have – for more than 30 years – empowered, supported, and assisted those confronting financial challenges in our community. Feeding the hungry and the homeless is an important part of what we do but is not all that we do. We help people to move forward in their lives. For people experiencing homelessness, that means helping them find their way home.

Everyday, residents of Brevard come to us without the ability to provide for themselves and their families. These women, men and children often are abused and battered, and looking for advocacy, guidance, and support. Thanks to our loyal supporters and volunteers who give so much of their time and resources, and the benefits of grant awards, the Women’s Center is able to provide counseling services, financial assistance, career guidance, job training, transitional housing, and victim advocacy. The Center is proud to be able to help thousands of people annually who seek out our assistance.

The biggest fear that parents of children with special needs have is “What will happen to my child when I am no longer able to care for him or her?” For so many, Promise in Brevard is a dream come true. Established in 2009, Promise, Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that was designed to provide affordable, independent housing for adults with cognitive and physical disabilities utilizing public and private partnerships to develop a model community. Located in West Melbourne, Florida, the Promise in Brevard affordable housing community, founded in 2014, is enhanced by Promise’s Resident Community Program, which incorporates a variety of programs and services that seek to provide a fulfilling life for each of its residents.
